On Wednesday 25th May, I photographed the Bench Fashion Show in the Nottingham Store. The show was showcasing the summer range in which Bench have brought out for 2011. Model Students Modelling Agency supplied the models and DJ Nathan Hadley of Gatecrashers produced the music for the catwalk and the evening whilst customers enjoyed the drinks and nibbles. There was also the chance for customers to get 25% off full priced items throughout the evening.

I had the privelage of both photographing and listening to The Lancasters. What a brilliant group they are. Very inspirational and encouraging singing. They are in the UK doing a tour in Morley, Northampton and Wembley. If you get the chance I highly recommend seeing them. Here are the photographs of them in action!

Another Event I did coverage for is The Good Friday Procession in Ilkeston Town Centre. Images were supplied to the media for use in Newspapers. The Mayor of Erewash also attended the event.Being a Christian myself and attend the Church Of Christ, I thought this event was quite interesting seeing it from other churches points of view. A little behind what Good Friday is, that some people forget the meaning of:
Good Friday (from the senses pious, holy of the word “good”), is a religious holiday observed primarily by Christians commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. The holiday is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday, and may coincide with the Jewish observance of Passover. It is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, or Easter Friday, though the latter normally refers to the Friday in Easter week.

Today was one of my first major Press Agency Shoots,
I have shown a few of the shots I took of Robert Lindsay who came to Ilkeston, his hometown, with his children. All the Photographs are copyrighted and written permission must be granted before use.
As the Derby Telegraph article on their website says:
Actor Robert Lindsay is inviting families to celebrate the completion of work to restore a cemetery.
The Ilkeston-born star is President of the Friends of Stanton Road Cemetery.
An afternoon celebration will be held on April 16 to mark the end of work at the town’s Victorian burial ground.
The graveyard has undergone a series of improvements, paid for by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The celebration event, which will be between 1pm – 4pm, will include guided walks around the cemetery, a treasure hunt and refreshments – while folk singer Ian Carter will be singing songs written about the Ilkeston Giant.
Representatives from Ilkeston and District Local History Society and Groundwork Derby and Derbyshire will also be on hand to chat to visitors.
Mr Lindsay said: “The celebration is a fitting tribute to all those involved in the restoration works that have taken place, safeguarding the future of this historic cemetery and making it a place for all to enjoy now and future generations”.
